Father Robert W. Castle has dedicated his life to the service of others. He is a priest, counselor, author, actor and former business owner.

His service as an Episcopal priest spans 50 years. He has served as the Vicar of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park, NJ; Rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church, in Jersey City, NJ; Rector at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New York City; Priest-in-Charge, Newport, VT; St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and several others.

Father Castle has also served as a residential counselor of Northeast Kingdom Mental Health; Outreach Worker of Project Reach-Out-Goddard Riverside and President of St. Mary’s Episcopal Center – AIDS Nursing Home and Day Treatment Center.

As an actor, he has an impressive list of motion picture credits which include: Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, Beloved, The Funeral, Addiction, Sleepers, City Hall, Copland, Restaurant and Lost Souls and the Manchurian Candidate. Fr. Castle is also the subject of the documentary “Cousin Bobby” created and directed by Johnathan Demme. He is also the author of “Prayers from the Burned Out City.”

Father Castle is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and Berkeley/Yale Divinity School. He was also chosen as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men in America Award by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Father Castle joined the board in 2003.
